My Oldsmobile Bravada currently started to make a rattling noise from the engine. What is it?

It seems to be only when I am stopped at a red light or basically idling. Everything else seems to be working fine. 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada. I get the oil changed every 3,000 miles.|||if it is a tick, could be a lifter, not real serious if just one ticking

if it is a knock, would probably be from a rod, could be trouble

very hard to answer without listening. most shops would not

charge you just to listen and make a call, altho they would

probably want to run some tests.|||Make sure the exhaust is not hitting the frame and body of the car and that no heat shields are loose.
