Where is the pcv valve located on a oldsmobile alero?

I think the pcv valve is bad on my 2001 oldsmobile alero but im not sure where it is located at. I have looked all over the internet and it shows me what the piece looks like but not where its at. Can anyone help?|||On the valve cover you will find the oil fill and another cap with a hose connected to it. You pvc valve is located there.|||There are a couple of places it could be based on which motor you have in it. on some of the GM's, it is right in front, sticking out of the valve cover, near the oil cap (that should be for most 3.1L %26amp; 3.4L engines) . If your engine has a plastic cover on it (usually the 3.8L %26amp; some 3.4L motors), there is a wire harness sticking up, on the passenger side of the motor, push down (gently) on the wire harness %26amp; twist. The PCV valve is inside. Be careful, because it's pretty easy to break that plastic wire harness, %26amp; there's an o-ring that you need to make sure gets put on the new PCV). The other place it could be is on the back side of the engine. On some GM's, there is a hose sticking out of the passenger side of the valve cover that has a plastic ring in the valve cover. The hose leads towards the firewall. You have to unscrew the plastic ring %26amp; the PCV is in there. Be careful, you can break the plastic ring.

Hope this helps!
