How long will my '98 Oldsmobile Intrigue run for?

I'm buying a 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue tomorrow and it has 135,759 miles on it and the guy (dealer) said it just needs new tires. Do you think it will still be running good before it gets to 150k?|||As long as the dealer says it has passed your State inspection and he guarantees you'll be able to get it registered in your State, I would predict that the automatic transmission would fail first if the car has received at least the recommended GM maintenance schedule found in your owner's manual throughout it's lifetime. Don't forget to test the electricals like the rear window defroster element (often burned out) etc. Has it passed the State emission's test too?

If it has a "timing belt" that can break (rather than a steel "timing chain"), check to see if it has an "interference" engine whose valves hit the pistons when the timing belt breaks. If it does and the belt breaks, then that might send your car to the happy hunting ground in car heaven before the transmission fails.
