Does a 1994 Oldsmobile Achieva have the VIN stamped on the engine block?

We are trying to find out whether a 1994 Oldsmobile Achieva has had a new engine put in, or whether the factory engine is still in it.|||No its not stamped on it. How many miles does it have? I have 245 thousand on my 3.1 in mine. I love that car! They have a serious problem with those darn Plastic intake gaskets, but Felpro makes a steel gasket for them now. Works great!|||The V in VIN stands for vehicle. The engine has its own number.
