Are 92 chevy lumina alternators and starters interchangeable with 96 oldsmobile cieras?
I just bought a alternator for my 1992 chevy lumina 3.1L and the engine went to crap.. bought a 1996 oldsmobile cierra 3100 and need to know if the alternator and starter would interchange so i don't have to scrap a brand new alternator.|||After checking the part numbers of these parts they will not interchange.Best of luck.
My oldsmobile Silhouette does not start but the lights come on?
My van has been sitting in my parking lot for a week and it would not turn on. We jumped it the interior light are on. On the radio it says ERROR. What could be the problem.|||Its probably just a bad battery, try charging it up and not jumping it. The radio error code means your vehicle lost all power and the radio has forgotten the code
WHAT OTHER GM cars were similar to the Oldsmobile Omega in the mid 1970's?
I recently saw a 197 ??? Oldsmobile Omega for sale here in Belgium. I liked the body lines, and the interior bench front seat, and the dashboard with lots of dangerous knobs and chrome.
WAS there ALSO a similar Chevy? Buick? that I can try to buy while I'm in the USA sometime?|||Ok lets start in the front of the car.. the fenders are the same from Apollo 75, Nova 75-79, Omega 75-79, Phoenix 77-79, Skylark 75-79, Ventura 75-77. The hood is 75-79 Omega only. The front bumber is Apolla 75, Omega 75-76, Skylark 75-76, and Ventura 75-76. Now the roof and rear of the car makes a big difference because of the fact that there were 4 styles of them. The 2dr hatchback, 2dr sedan w/ formal windows, 2dr sedan w/o formal windows, and a 4dr. That could be issue with the slope of the back window/roof. hope this helps|||chevy nova

Iam not 100 percent certain but petty sure that there are two rubber seals within the pump the most expensive part of the job is the labour charge you would be looking at 3 hours for the job so watever your mechanic charges per hour x3 plus the cost of the seals it would be easier to fit a new pump $75-$85 for the pump and one hours labour.|||Probably just a bad hose. Not very expensive but difficult to reach.|||You probably have a hose leaking. Its probably a small leak but. and the cost depends on the shop.|||depends on what is leaking......if its just a hose u can fix it ureself .......if its pump or rack and pinion just the parts can cost 300 bucks...

I have a 94 Oldsmobile that is leaking coolant from a hose connection that goes to the engine?
I have a 94 oldsmobile that is leaking coolent from a hose conection that has broken off that goes to the engine. half of it is still in the engine what do i do|||If it's a rubber hose, you can splice a section of new rubber hose between the engine and the broken end of the hose if the hose isn't long enough now to reach the engine.

i have to do a tune up on my 2000 oldsmobile intrigue but i cant find the spark plugs.|||Once you take the plastic covers off, you will see plug wires or you won't. If not, each plug has an individual coil on top of the plug, which should be centered on the heads.|||Underneath all the plastic engine covers.

Is there a way to shut of the security for an Oldsmobile Cutlass?
I have a '99 Oldsmobile Cutlass. If the security is triggered, it won't start. Does anyone know how to turn it off permenantly? I know there has to be a wire to cut, but I don't know which one.
Help?|||The ignition system looks for resistance factor form the key. If it does not see that resistance the car will not start. It is not just a simply cut this wire and splice it together with other. The system is designed to stop your car from being stolen if it was that simple then it would not be of any use would it. Cheap trick you can try is to get a key punched out at the dealer. Do not just get your key copied this will do nothing as the key wears it will not push the tumbler in the ign cylinder fully cause an incorrect reading. By having a key punch cut at the dealer using your VIN number sometimes this can work. If not you are looking at having the passkey sensor, the ign cylinder, and the key replaced

How many cylinders did the 1978 Oldsmobile delta 88 had?
My dad used to have that 1978 oldsmobile delta 88 but I don't know if it was an 8 cylinder though|||The standard engine was the old 3.8L Buick V6. There were a 4.3L V8 (yes a V8) and a 5.7L V8 available as the optional engines.|||The 78 Olds Deltas came with a 350 C.I. V-8 as the base engine. Options up to and including the 403 C.I. V-8 were available.
I do recall that you could get the 231 V-6 from Buick in the Deltas, but I don't recall the year(s) of that option.|||There were a lot of engine options for that model and year.
Most common one I had seen were the 5.7 Chev V8.
I never saw a V6 in a 88. Maybe 1 4.3. Couple 6.6's.
That was also the first year for the 5.7 diesel.|||6|||Very few would have been sold with a 6. Any of the V-8s would have been more popular. It was a big car, and gas was cheap.|||They were still using small block V8s back then. I used to have a 69 model that has a big block 455.|||It came standard with a V6, but a V8 was optional.

How do I sell my OldsMobile?
Im trying to to sell my oldsmobile silhoutte. I'm selling it cause the automatic doorst aren't working. The shox are gone. The car is just messed up. How should i sell the car so nobody nows about the disadvatages. And for how much?|||Since you want to screw some poor guy who might be using all his money to buy a vehicle for his family, I think you should be able to figure out how to sell it.
Then again if you have to ask a question how to sell a car, I don't see how you'd be good at scammin someone.|||Put a sign on it saying FOR SALE (AS IS)!!!|||sell it as is with a contract.....but if you fail to mention the problems to a probable buy, he could take you to small claims court. personally i would just junk the car out. you might make more money parting it out on like ebay or craigslist than selling the car complete.|||You are trying to pull off something very dishonest, "Mustafa".
You need to be upfront about the issues, so that you cover yourself. If you advertise the van in "perfect" or "mint" condition and don't disclose the issues, you could get sued. Be forthcoming about them, it'll pay off in the long run. Nobody is going to give you top dollar for that van, anyway, as they were known to be rattletraps. One of the worst vehicles GM ever put out.
However, anyone worth their weight will have it checked out by a mechanic. That mechanic will find the issues and expose your blatant attempt to get rid of junk.
Good luck. If you truly decide to hide the issues with the van, I hope you are indeed exposed and taken to court.|||just be honest it will make you and the person who buys it feel better in the long run|||if you sell without telling them the probs they might have legal recourse and you'll get the car back and have to refund...
