Does my 1995 oldsmobile 88 need to be realigned after the transmission has been removed and replaced?

I bought a used transmission for my 1995 oldsmobile 88 and paid a guy 250 to remove and replace it. The steering seems slightly different and the steering wheel is not exactly centered. Does one normally have the front end realigned after doing this job?|||The answer to your question is yes! The camber should be checked and also it probably needs a cradle adjustment also because it was removed! ADDED: @ SEERIN, obviously you don't know! Because you don't know that the cradle has to be removed to remove a front wheel drive transmission! And an alignment has nothing to do with a wobble. And also you must not have read the question because the man said that the steering wheel spoke was not centered now! I think that you may need to go to another section of yahoo answers!|||Is it rear wheel drive? Then no.

If its front, No you should not half to because that part isn't something that gets moved, it is generally on the strut, and that doesn't come out either, unless they took it all apart.

Does it pull to a side?

Go real slow, and see if the steering wheel drifts one way or the other, If it does, you should.

Also you may notice going 55 some wobble, if it is bad keep it at a speed the wheel doesn't bounce, and get it aligned.

If it does none of those things, don't worry about it.

If you are extra curious,

There is a small bar that faces the front of the car, look to see if he marked it or if the dirt stain on the threads to where it connects to the "tie rod" end. if you see clean threads it may have not been tightened up enough.|||your gonna need to,he didnt give a crap, and just threw it back together.
