How much weight can a 1993 88 Royal Oldsmobile pull?

Ok here come the hillbillies. We are moving to Alabama and have a 1993 88 Royal Oldsmobile. We need to get a pull trailer for some minor stuff and need to know how much weight can it pull without ruining the engine. Also what size should I get for the trailer? I looked on-line and cant find anything.|||Your concern should not be ruining the engine, but the transmission. Most full size front wheels drive cars had a recommended towing capacity of about 2000 lbs (1 ton) total weight of trailer. Be sure to leave your transmission in 3rd gear (or little D on the older gm cars) when pulling a trailer. pulling trailers puts a lot of stress on transmissions.
